Lewisham Sivan Kovil Temple – Annual Festival, Sep 2014

One of the founding aims of Arsha Vidya UK is to encourage a deeper understanding in Britain of Vedic heritage and practices. This aim is primarily, but not exclusively, fulfilled among the Indian communities and especially within their places of worship.

One such opportunity is presented by an annual festival at the Sivan Kovil temple, Lewisham, South London, one of whose trustees is also a student of Vedanta.

This year, as previously, Swamini Atmaprakashananda gave a talk in Tamil on prayer and worship during the festival. A number of her regular Vedanta students participated in the festival and were included in the many who heard her talk.
